The Procedure for Control of Adherence to the Legislation Aimed to Manage the Conflict of Interest in the Work of Judges On 24 February, 2016, the Procedure for Control of Adherence to the Legislation Aimed to Manage the Conflict of Interest in the Work of Judges and Other Representatives of the Judiciary was presented in the Ukraine Crisis Media Center. The experts of the EU Project “Support to the Justice Sector Reforms in Ukraine” presented this document jointly with the Council of Judges of Ukraine.

The Commission extended the suspension term of 3 judges At the meeting of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine on 25 January 2016 upon the request of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine it decided to extend the suspension term of judges. In particular, in connection with the criminal prosecution the Commission extended the suspension of 3 judges for 1 month. At the same time, the Commission decided to deny the request to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine on the extension of suspension term in respect of 2 judges.

Доповідь Голови Верховного Суду України Ярослава Романюка під час спільного засідання Судова система, слідуючи загальному для всієї державної влади принципу підзвітності суспільству, повинна поінформувати суспільство про діяльність судів, про стан здійснення судочинства, про кількісні та якісні показники роботи судів. Публічні заходи з обговорення підсумків діяльності судів важливі ще й тому, що здійснення судочинства – специфічна, суто професійна сфера діяльності правників, яка в комплексі більшою мірою залишається «за кадром» публічного інтересу, якщо не стосується яскраво виражених недоліків.
